\n\t\tFrom 1 October, all self-employed workers must complete their procedures electronically with the Social Security. This obligation is determined by Ministerial Order ESS\/214\/2018, which granted a period of 6 months (from 1 April to 30 September 2018) for self-employed professionals to adapt.<\/div>\n

Who is affected by this obligation?<\/h2>\n\n<\/div>\n
\n\t\t <\/div>\n
\n\t\tThe regulations affect all self-employed workers, as well as workers in the Special System of Agricultural Workers (SETA) and workers in the Special Regime for Seafarers.<\/div>\n
\n\t\t <\/div>\n
\n\t\tThere will be no postal notifications informing of this measure and, therefore, the self-employed must already put it into practice from the date on which it enters into force.<\/div>\n
\n\t\t <\/div>\n
\n

Which electronic channels can the self-employed use to carry out their procedures?<\/h2>\n\n<\/div>\n
\n\t\t <\/div>\n
\n\t\tThe Social Security Treasury has made two channels available to the self-employed:<\/div>\n
\n\t\t <\/div>\n
\n\t\t– The RED System (Electronic Data Retransmission), through which the authorized RED acts on behalf of the self-employed worker.<\/div>\n
\n\t\t– The Social Security Electronic Headquarters, where the worker can carry out formalities directly with the Social Security General Treasury by means of the electronic services available.<\/div>\n
\n\t\t <\/div>\n

What is necessary to carry out the procedures by telematic means?<\/h2>\n\n<\/div>\n
\n\t\t <\/div>\n
\n\t\tTo access the Electronic Headquarters, it is necessary to have one of the following identity authentication systems:<\/div>\n
\n\t\t <\/div>\n
\n\t\t– Electronic ID<\/div>\n
\n\t\t– Electronic certificate accepted by Social Security<\/div>\n
\n\t\t– Cl@ve System<\/div>\n
\n\t\t <\/div>\n
