One-Stop Shop: new VAT regime for e-commerce to come into effect from July

From 1 July, any EU business that invoices more than €10,000 in e-commerce sales to consumers in other member states will have to invoice at the VAT rate corresponding to that state under the destination taxation system. Thus, the tax will be levied in the Member State where the final consumer who purchases the goods or receives the service is resident.

The new audit regulation provides for fines for companies that fail to submit annual accounts.

This year, companies that have to submit their annual accounts should pay attention to the new regulations of the Accounts Auditing Law (RD 2/2021, of 12 January). The new regulation, in force since 1 February, establishes a series of measures to strengthen and speed up the sanctioning procedure against companies that fail to file their annual accounts.

New registration deadline for accessing the 2,000 euro grant for self-employed workers

The Government of Catalonia has announced a registration period for accessing new extraordinary aid for maintaining the activity of individual self-employed workers or self-employed workers who are part of a microenterprise. To be eligible for this aid, prior registration must be made from 19 to 26 February, which will act as an application form.
