Depending on the entity that manages the domain of the website, different types of cookies can be distinguished, and different classifications can be established. The first classification would distinguish between own cookies and third party cookies:
Own Cookies: are those that are sent to your computer from the domain or computer of the service provider to whom the service is requested.
Third-party cookies: are those that are sent to your computer from a domain or computer not managed by the service provider to whom the service is requested.
The second classification would distinguish between session cookies and permanent cookies:
Session Cookies: are cookies that are used only while you are accessing a web page, and often use information that is only kept while you are providing the service you request.
Permanent Cookies: are those that, once the provision of services requested on a website has ended, or once the information sought has been received, continue to store the data in the terminal, and can be used on other occasions.
Finally, the third classification would distinguish between technical, personalization, analysis, advertising and behavioral advertising cookies:
Technical Cookies: are those that allow navigation through a web page, for example, to identify a login or make a registration request.
Personalization Cookies: allow you to access the service with predefined features based on a series of criteria that you have in your terminal, such as the language of navigation.
Analysis Cookies: allow your manager to track and analyze the behavior of users on linked sites. They can also be used for profiling.
