What procedures can I do with the immigration service?

From NIE, work and/or residence permits, study stays, family reunification, settlement or nationality. At CINC we advise you according to your case.

Is it necessary to hire a lawyer for immigration?

Not always mandatory, but advisable. A lawyer will help you avoid mistakes, rejections and speed up processing times.

How long does an immigration case take?

It depends on the type of application and the place where the application is submitted. Some procedures can be resolved in weeks and others may take several months.

Do you have immigration service for companies?

Yes. We help companies that want to hire foreign people or regularize their legal status.

Can I apply for Spanish nationality with CINC?

Yes. We advise you about requirements, deadlines and documentation to start your nationality application.

What is social settlement (“arraigo”) and how do I apply for it?

It is a residence authorization for exceptional circumstances which you can apply for if you have been in Spain for at least two years, among other requirements. At CINC we help you to process it step by step.

Can I apply for social settlement without a work contract?

Yes, if you can show your own economic means or those of a family member; you can also start as self-employed. We help you assess your case.

Can I get a residence permit if I buy a property in Spain?

No, the investor residence (known as Golden Visa) is no longer in effect; however there are other routes for people with economic means.

What can I apply for while in Spain as a tourist?

There are several options, both residence and stay authorizations that can be requested from within Spain.

Can I register for the municipal register (“empadronamiento”) if I’m in an irregular situation?

Yes, registering does not require legal status. It is an important step, especially to later apply for settlement.

How far in advance can I apply for renewal?

Within the two months before the expiration date of the authorization or in the three months after. Submitting the application within the renewal period extends the validity of the previous authorization until the procedure is resolved. In the case of the family member card of a community citizen, renewal is done before 30 days.

Is it mandatory to prove cohabitation with a Spanish citizen when applying for family residence authorization?

No, cohabitation must only be proven in two cases: other family members who are dependents and stable partners without common descendants.

What is the duration of residence for family members of Spanish or EU nationals?

The authorization will last for 5 years.

If I am already in Spain and apply for a temporary residence authorization as a family member of a Spanish or EU national, from when can I work?

In those cases in which the authorization can be requested from within Spain, you may begin working from the moment the application is accepted as filed.

Can holders of the temporary residence authorization of a family member of a Spanish national exercise their own right to family reunification?

Yes. They may exercise their own right to family reunification. Likewise, people who have obtained an independent residence authorization may also exercise the right to family reunification.

When can I apply for a long-term residence authorization?

After 5 years of continuous residence in Spain, the foreign person may apply for this authorization.

Does having prior criminal convictions automatically constitute a reason for denying the family authorization or visa?

No. Having prior criminal convictions, inside or outside Spain, will not by itself be an automatic reason to deny the authorization or visa.
